Solve-PFG (Payment File Generator) is The Logic Group’s classic settlement product. Launched in 1993, it quickly established itself as the benchmark for processing payment card transaction files.
Solve-PFG enables the merchant to provide the details of authorised transactions to the acquirer for settlement. Initially, it creates a payment file ready to be sent to the acquirer. Once received by the acquirer, the payment file is processed and funds transferred to the merchant’s account.
Solve-PFG produces settlement files from the transaction log records that have been marked for settlement by Solve/SE. It can process several transaction logs within the same run, ensuring that transactions within logs generated by different Solve/SE systems can be processed into the same settlement file. Solve-PFG operates as a batch process and can be initiated automatically at set times of the day to submit settlement files, though it is normally run at the end of each trading day. As acquirers may require a different formats for payment file, Solve-PFG is designed to be capable of producing a large number of different file formats.
