Smart-Switch is the world’s first EMV level 2 accredited Chip & PIN software for use at the checkout and in-store, having been awarded both EMV3.1.1 and EMV4 certification on the first attempt. Smart-Switch provides retailers with a simple migration path from magnetic stripe to Chip & PIN card processing. The multi-award winning Smart-Switch offers high performance, flexible software integration and is designed to help retailers add support for new applications and cards whilst minimising disruption to legacy systems. Accordingly, Smart-Switch enables retailers to accept both IC (Smart) Cards and magnetic stripe cards until magnetic stripe is phased out. Additional applications such as loyalty, mobile phone top up or E-Gift voucher, can be supported and easily added at a future date.
Smart-Switch also offers a robust solution for fast processing of EMV Chip & PIN transactions. In cases where a store network fails an off-line module is available so that retailers can continue processing card transactions without loss of service.
Smart-Switch's flexibility ensures that payments can now be taken for an extremely diverse number of environments, allowing multi-channel retailers to adopt a common platform and strategy across all store channels. This includes enhancements for wireless terminals, kiosks and unattended payment terminals.
