The Logic Group has added strong Data Security and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) support to its core authorisation and settlement software to ensure that sensitive card data is protected from unauthorised use. Triple DES based data encryption is a licensed feature for the Solve and Silverfleet Product Suites and provides a secure method of maintaining card data on a merchant’s system. Encryption is implemented in common libraries and so provides data security throughout The Logic Group’s product range.
From the moment that Solve/SE generates a card authorisation request, right up to the point when Solve-Payment produces the settlement file, personal card details are either encrypted or masked on the merchant’s system, significantly reducing the risk of such data being compromised or used for fraudulent purposes.
SSL support is also offered as an option within The Logic Group CNP-Solution. This is a web encryption technology that provides a secure method of transmitting and authenticating data over a network via TCP/IP. It was developed to enable the secure transmission of information over the Internet and is an industry standard protocol.
