| Data Recovery |
In certain extreme cases, transaction or payment files may become corrupt, contain incorrect data or contain incomplete data; problems of this kind may not be discovered until the acquirer rejects the payment file. In order for the payment file to then be processed, the data must be recovered or amended. To allow for these cases, The Logic Group has formulated a data recovery procedure designed to recover the transactions in question. This is part of the full portfolio of Client Services The Logic Group provides its customers.
There are a number of reasons why The Logic Group is trusted by its clients to carry out data recovery on their behalf:
• |
Firstly, the authorisation for any transaction is time limited (typically three days). It is therefore critical that the files are recovered, re-submitted to the acquirer for payment and settled by the acquirer before the authorisation expires. If this is not achieved, the merchant may forfeit those transactions. |
• |
Secondly, manipulation of live data can have serious consequences, particularly since the chances of recovering all of the information intact are reduced each time a recovery is attempted. |
Since The Logic Group’s specialist staff have extensive experience of data recovery situations, they are best placed to recover the data quickly and efficiently.
