Pennies

Pennies LogoPennies makes giving to charity easy and affordable for all, in essence a new channel for the old habit of dropping a few coins into a charity box, brought up to date for card transactions. The invitation to donate (the retailer decides if it’s a round-up or top-up) comes up on the terminal screen when the customer inserts their card – and it’s just one click to decide. No staff involvement, so it’s completely private.

The retailer nominates the charity or charities to benefit from the majority of the donations:  local or national.  100% of the money raised goes to charity. 1 million donations have been raised in the first year through five retailers and many others are now joining in.
