Logic Group scores with Everton FC to provide multi-channel managed service
Fleet, Hampshire, 28th July 2005: The Logic Group today announced that it will supply a comprehensive managed service to Everton Football Club to process all its future multi-channel card payment transactions. The technology supplied to Everton will be up and running by September and process payments from all of the club’s sales channels estimated to be in the region of £10m per year.
Everton turned to the Logic Group for a fully supported, cost-effective and resilient 24x7 EFT solution to manage its wide variety of customer present and not present card payment channels. Having worked with the Logic Group for the last eight years, Everton will now outsource the management of all its revenue streams including: ticketing, retail, call centre/mail order, hospitality and online commerce including merchandising and eticketing.
As part of the deal, the Logic Group will implement a cost effective Chip & PIN solution which will process all customer present transactions. The Logic Group will also support the club’s online transactions through both the Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode payer authentication schemes, providing strong protection against online fraud. The Logic Group will also provide Everton with a single gateway that will enable the club to process payments directly and to support other hosted services.
